As a member of the society of Wildlife Artists Society Internationall, I was invited to partake in their annual exhibition 'Nature in Art' at Wallsworth Hall, Gloucester. As I was unable to submit last year, I was very keen to have a look at the venue and meet some of the other members, whose work until then I had only seen in the society's monthly magazine and online. In regards to the venue itself, Wallsworth Hall was absolutely stunning, and the weather thankfully was warm and bright. It was wonderful to experience such talent in person, and find other artists whom, like myself, had a passion to paint and draw wildlife!

From the 10th to the 12th of May I exhibited at the Newbury Racecourse, amongst many incredibly talented artists! Since graduating from University, and apart from the odd daily exhibition, I had not had the chance to meet other artists of all kinds of backgrounds and choices of mediums, and it was a wonderful insight into how to sell art in person and market on a one to one basis. Sales were slow at first, but once Saturday arrived things quickly improved and I have to say I was delighted to pass my expenditure! I believe I improved in my salesmanship, gaining confidence as time passed. Very much looking forward to the Windsor show coming up in November! |
